Kendrick Lamar. K.Dot. Kung Fu Kenny has bestowed upon us another miraculous work of art. DAMN. The title speaks for itself and still describes my reaction to Kendrick Lamar’s relentless lyrical finesse and craftsmanship. The project released months ago ushering us through the summer months with some of our favorite tracks “Humble”, “DNA” and Loyalty featuring Rhianna. “Loyalty” is still in heavy rotation during the early weeks of fall. Damn has won Kendrick over 9 awards and the recognitions, honors and achievements continue to pour in for our guy Kung Fu Kenny.

The inclusion of this album for the weekend playlist is absolutely necessary. Considering A3c is in town and dope 16’s paired with elevated hip hop energy floating through the air- a little Kendrick is a great way to set to the pace.
