Nekki’s 2017 Top Playlist of The Week

By  |  0 Comments

2017 has been a great year to us musically.

Some of our favorite artist blessed us with some much needed highly anticipated music to navigate us through a year of Trump, protest, make-ups, break-ups, turn-downs, turn-ups, love losses, love gains, healing, emotional health, self awareness, highs, lows, bag security and then some.

A few honorable mentions that definitely contributed to my dope playlist this year include; Miguel with highly anticipated “War and Leisure“, Tpain with contemporary R&B  “Oblivion”, Chris Brown with creatively charged “Heartbreak on Fullmoon“, Jay-Z with truth serum galore on “4:44”, Gucci Mane off of a recent prison release and major transformation with “Mr. Davis” and Tank with erotic R&B classic “Savage“…

WILLIE HYN|Ruperts Day Off/ 13 Roses|

WILLIE HYN has set the pace for stardom in 2017 with grammy nominations, full length film 13 Roses, 13 Roses the album and Ruperts Day Off Mixtape an abundance of shows and interviews, essences fest features and more. Get into the East Atlanta native and his Confetti Rose bandmates and be sure to include his projects in your 2018 Rotation.

SZA.|Control|

SZA blessed us all with the push through album of the year with Control. A project centered around “self”, self awareness, self gratification, selflessness and selfishness. Love is a helluva drug and Control is the Cocaine. A project with so much reach; SZA has found herself with a much deserved die hard following-record sales and award nominations to match.
